Draft 5
Artist Statement: This week was the last week we were working on our personal projects. This week I wanted to focus on taking photos of only people. I tried to capture each person of guard so it wouldn't seem posed. I wanted to continue editing my photos in black and white because I think they look better all together. I tried to make each subject in my photos darker than the background so they would standout. I thought I definitely improved since we started this project and I think this week and last weeks photos were the best.
I love how you only used people this week. This is definitely your strongest post in my opinion! I have no suggestions because this was so good! Great job!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, you did a great job at creating this hazy, slightly chaotic environment. The second picture is very interesting; I like the way the whole image is bent in some spots. I think you will have a lot to choose from when you are making your book from these photos.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I think this is your best draft because there is more varieties in subjects which shows your different perspectives on blurring.
ReplyDeleteI really like these pictures because they crest a sense of urgency, escpecilaly because your pictures are taken in a bustling city.
ReplyDeleteI really like how your photos have evolved in this project to encompass both panning and abstract motion. I really like your editing because you showed panning with your shapes, yet motion with the grays. Really good work!

ReplyDeleteGood job with this series. I think your goal of taking people while in a natural state was clearly conveyed throughout your images. I think it was a good idea to keep the photos in black and white, in order to avoid confusion. Great job Sophie!
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job at capturing your artist statement. I think the black and white filters works very good. The images are full of black white and grey and I like that. I also like the fact that you have different angles. great work
ReplyDeleteGreat work this week. I really like how you have expanded your subjects to people and I think that these are some of the best photos you've done. I have no suggestions. Nice job!
