Composition 4: Symmetry, Asymmetry and Balance
Symmetry: Symmetry is when a photos looks identical on both sides. To tell whether a picture is symmetric, draw a line down the middle of the picture and if it looks exactly the same on both sides you will know its symmetric.
Asymmetry: Asymmetry is when a photo has two objects that have two different weights and sizes.
Balance: Balance is when you have two objects in a photo that can look different but have the same weight.

I really like your asymmetrical photos because they offer a detailed perspective on a variety of subjects. The only suggestion I have is for your last balance photo, as I feel like the two plants don't have equal weight, so I would classify this image as asymmetrical
ReplyDeleteI really liked your balance section because each photo was different so it made it flow really nicely. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI really like all your photos. I think that they all pictured each composition really well. No suggestions from me!
ReplyDeleteYou did a really nice job on these photos. I really liked your asymmetrical photos because of the variety of subjects used. I don't have any suggestions. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI like your asymmetry photo, my suggestion is to have more interesting subjects for symmetry.
ReplyDelete*asymmetry photos
ReplyDeleteThese are really good, but some of the photos for symmetry are a bit plain. Maybe you could have more variety next time. Other than that, I really liked these.
ReplyDeleteThese images are really strong and perfectly capture your artist statement! My favorite part of your posts are the balance section. I really like the angels you used and the editing you did.
ReplyDeleteI really like the shapes and subjects you have chosen for your photos! I think you could have rotated your symmetry photos to better show a straight separating line. I also feel like your last balance photo is better suited for asymmetry. Otherwise, your photos are great!
ReplyDeleteI really like how you captured the concept of asymmetry in all your photos. I think you did a great job making sure that each photo did not look identical on both sides of the photo. I like your landscape photos because I feel those best represented asymmetry. Overall, great job on all of your photos!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job. I think you did a great job showing balance through the objects that you used. All of your photos are unique and really well photographed.
ReplyDeleteI really like the ping pong photo, it is very clear and shows asymmetry well
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the simplicity you have in your post and how the simplicity makes the image seem larger in the context that your objects stand out a lot.
