Abstract Photos

Abstract Photos

Artist Statement: This week I focused on taking photos of small details that I notices on the street. I tired to express texture with in each of my pictures as well as a repetition of patterns that surrounded the frame of the photo. Lastly I edited all my photos in black and white to make them cohesive with one another.

Best of Spring Series

Artist Statement: This week we worked on editing and touching up our last photos that we wanted to post. These are the best photos that I feel I edited well. I also made a few new ones to add to the collections. In each photos I would replace the main focus of the picture and use a new photo that has a different perspective in it. Creating this series was a fun way to experiment with new technique of editing photos together.

                                                               Final Draft

Artist Statement: This week I worked on taking photos of different scenarios then trying to combined them together to make it almost look like an optical illusion. I also wanted to work with color this week to see if it could change my perspective. This was the last week for editing news photos and next week I'll be closing the best out of the series.

Spring 2

Artist Statement: This week I chose to take photos of different people in a natural environment then I tired to to edit other photos of people into the original photo. I edit each photo in black and white so that they all cohesively go together. Editing one photo takes about 20 minutes because I spend a lot of time trying to photoshop each photo together. I have enjoyed making these photos this week and I will try to make a better batch next week.

Spring Series

Artist Statement: This week we started our spring series. I decided to create collages based on real life pictures. I took photos of my surrounding and then I also took portraits of a few of my classmates. I took their faces and or eyes and cropped it to fit a certain part of the photo. Then I meshed both photos together then edited them in black and white. This is just the first week of photos and I will be trying out new ways to edit my pictures every week.

Class Project 2

Artist Statement: This week we worked on editing style as we did last week. We took a photo of everyone and edited their photo using their techniques that they used in previous photos. Some of these photos are the same because some people worked on the same series of photos.

I edited this photo in no special way. I took a photo of her and while she was jumping in the air and holding the door as if she was floating

I edited this photo by first taking a photo of her then edited around her as if she was in a comic book.

I edited this photo by first taking a photo of this girl then cutting around her. Then I took a photo of nature and placed it on top of her photo and then faded it so you could see both photos.

I edited this photo by first taking a picture of this guy walking across the street. Then I turned up the saturation so you could really see the yellow and oranges.

Portraits

Artist Statement: This week we worked on taking individual portraits of people. This year everybody had worked on different types of pictures and used different techniques to edit all of their photos. With their picture, I took one of their editing techniques and tried to edit their photo in that way. I think this was a fun way to experience a different style of photography.

I chose to use the technique of editing this portrait
as a magazine cover.

I chose to use the technique of taking a blurred photo and just posting it,
with exactly how it was.

I chose to use the technique of editing this portrait by first editing it in black and white then finding a picture of flowers and cutting it to shape of her shirt.

I chose to use the technique of editing this portrait by cutting him out from the original photo from the lockers and putting him on different white piece of paper then drawing the back round.

I chose to use the technique of editing this portrait by taking a mug shot of him then I cut him out and placed him in a background.

I chose to use the technique of editing this portrait in normal color but I painted her body as a ghost but I didn't color her hand or shoes.
