Series 2

Artist Statement: This week I continued to take panning photos. This week I tried to focus more on the daily life of a person and tried to capture them in action. I also took photos of moving cars which I am trying to make more crisp and tried to take photos of less cars and more people. 

Winter series 1

Artist Statement: This week we looked for different type of photographers to help us base our own photos on. I chose to take panning pictures which is what Kevin Bjorke had done. I liked how he focused on a certain person or object within the photo and had everything else blurred out. What I chose to do is very similar, I am taking photos of moving cars and people and focusing on them while the back round gets blurred out. I used a camera with the TV setting and set it to the right shutter speed. When I found the right speed and would focus on the object then with my camera I would follow the object while it moved in hopes that it would come out like Kevin Bjorke. This project is harder than previous projects but as I keep taking photos they will start coming out as wanted

This week I worked on three different types of photography skills. We worked on light painting, blurred motion and panning pictures. I thought that the light paining was the most fun to make but the panning photos came out the best and I thought that was my best work.

Multi-Frame Storytelling.

In the past week I worked on creating a multi-frame storytelling. I began by finding a bunch of different photos that I could group into a set of three photos. In each group of photos I tried to create a story or a themes of photos that went well together. Then I edited each photo in black and white and added different frames to each group. I tried to create groups of photos that could tell a story about being on vacation or an adventure. During this project I found it fun but also challenging at the same time.
